來自英國蘇格蘭，Calcarb 低密度的硬質 (Rigid Felt) 碳纖維複合隔熱材料，非常適合各種真空爐以及大氣控制爐。
以碳化嫘縈纖維 (rayon fibres) 為基材在真空狀態下成型的每一片平板料或者是圓柱體料，全部都經過高達攝氏 2000oC 的高溫純化(outgas) 過程，並且依照客戶所指定的圖樣尺寸裁剪，以及被覆塗層。
Calcarb CVD 披覆塗層是當今全世界唯一使用化學氣相沉積系統(CVD)的最高級隔熱材鍍膜。 所有 Calcarb 的產品在 Machinery、披覆(Coating)以後也可在 2000oC 的真空狀態下用鹵化燈再純化 (<20ppm)，確保隔熱材與石墨披覆層完美的結合，並達到產品品質的一致性與穩定度。
確保 Hot Zone 的均溫也保證生產
週期遠超過其他隔熱材。
Calcarb's product acts as heat shield (i.e. insulation lining) with very refractory properties. It is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 3000°C. It is chemically inert except under oxidising atmospheres above 450°C, and certain gases at higher temperatures.
It is manufactured by a process that eliminates outgassing under vacuum conditions (all Calcarb's base material is fired to 2000°C and outgassed under vacuum). It has a very low thermal conductivity value, and its thermal and erosion resistance can be enhanced by coating with graphitised foil, graphitised paint or specialist high density coatings applied by CVD process.
